FAQs

How many camera operators / cameras will there be?

For all packages it will be myself and my assistant on the day. The majority of filming will be done on one HDV camera, however for the service and speeches I will have a second HDV camera set up in order to achieve a better variety of angles. This will make the final edit look and flow better. We will both be as discreet and unobtrusive as possible.

How long will the finished DVD be?

This depends on a number of factors, including the package you choose, length of the service, and how much of it you'd like included - however the DVD will usually be between 20 and 40 minutes long.

How soon after the wedding will my DVD be ready?

This will vary between busy periods, however I aim to have the finished DVD posted out to you via Recorded Delivery within 2 to 4 weeks of the wedding.

Will you attend the Wedding Rehearsal?

Wherever possible, if it is convenient for you, as this will help me to get a feel for the venue and the order of service before the big day.

Do you hold Public Liability Insurance?

Yes, as well as Professional Liability Insurance.

Can we choose our own music for the DVD?

Yes. Every package includes a Wedding Video Recording License (WVRL) from the ECL. This covers the permissions from both the PPL and the MCPS on any special songs you would like used on the DVD. The license also covers copyrights for music played in the church or the venue, including live bands, so you have nothing to worry about.

Will we have to pay a booking fee?

In order to secure the date I will require a £50 booking fee to be paid at the time of booking. This will be deducted from the final cost of the DVD. This booking fee is non-refundable in the case of cancellation.

Is there anything we need to do?

The only thing you need to do is to check with the Vicar or Registrar that it will be ok for me to film the service. Some churches and registry offices may require a form to be filled out by myself before the big day. In the unlikely event that a fee is payable, this must be covered by yourselves.
